I remember Kelsang Tharchin playing the part of Serlingpa in an NKT play in the Toronto festival in 2003, before he became unwell. Serlingpa taught Bodhichitta to Atisha and was revered by Atisha as being superior to all of his other teachers because he taught him Bodhichitta. Kelsang Tharchin will be teaching a course at Kailash in Switzerland in September called 'The Power Of Love' and this song is my begging bowl cyber-busking effort to attend these teachings. The song can be listened to for free here but a small donation is required to download the song (£1 or more). And I will send you the video if you request it by email or Facebook message. Needless to say the song stems from my own relationship with Gen Tharchin; the song is about that relationship, and explains why I am so eager to attend these Bodhichitta-related teachings. It is easy for me to imagine that Gen Tharchin is an emanation of Serlingpa. Please excuse the amateur musicality, I was unaided by my collaborator Jem on this effort. Atisha spent over a year braving nasty seas and many obstacles to receive these teachings; I have the great good fortune of having been invited by Gen Tharchin to travel a few hours up the motorway to spend time with him, to help him 'navigate his day' and to help him clerically with the preparations for his teachings on "The Power Of Love". I will need to raise some funds to attend those teachings though......Sean
